Carl Sagan: Who speaks for Earth?

Carl Sagan was an American planetary scientist, author and thinker who has written extensively about Earth and its place in the Universe.

In this short film, Sagan puts Earth into the context of our Universe. He makes a compelling case for each of us to speak for our planet and the species which depend upon it for their survival.

Carl Sagan makes the case for all of us to speak for Earth
“Our loyalties are to the species and the planet. We speak for Earth. Our obligation to survive is owed not just to ourselves but also to that Cosmos, ancient and vast, from which we spring.” Carl Sagan
