Curious and creative Nature play

Bruny Island
Things to do………. Are you looking for a way to connect with your child and nature at the same time? Why not try a little nature weaving project?

Children have a curious and creative eye for these projects and find wonder and beauty in the littlest things, things which adults often take for granted. All you need to create your own weaving loom is a scrap of cardboard plus some string, wool or even rubber bands will do.

The loom will take just a few moments to create and is an excellent task in itself to build fine motor skills in young children.  Once you've made your loom it is as easy as going for stroll into the garden or a patch of bush to see what natural treasures can be found to weave into your loom.
