The Bruny kids and Nature page is a home for stories, events, things to do and articles about kids connecting with, learning about and experiencing the joy of Nature on Bruny Island.
This page includes articles and stories written by a range of writers and authors, and includes articles written by kids themselves (with parental permission). The page is managed by educators, writers and parents of kids who have a connection to Bruny Island.
The Bruny Kids webpage project is being coordinated by Bruny Island teacher, Claire Boost. Claire runs Bush Lil (a Launching into Learning Program for children aged 0-4), and is helping to establish an Outdoor Classroom at Bruny Island District School.

Supergroms Cleanup at Alonnah
On Tuesday the 25th of March 2025, the Cloudy Bay Supergroms did a beach cleanup at Alonnah. We drove to the car park on the Dray Track and walked to the rocky beach where we found HEAPS of rubbish like little bits of plastic, lolly pop sticks and rope.
